When there is a food famine in Thirukkuvalai, Sundarar (one of 63 nayanmars) sang Thevaram on kolilinathar. Immediately paddy rain started and filled Thirukkuvalai. Then Sundarar(Nambi Aarooran) prayed God Shiva, immediately celestial men descended in the Temple to carry those huge paddy bowls to Thiruvarur and other places.
